Data Management Analyst II

Job Summary:
Student Life Assessment and Research champions a culture of evidence-based decision making for the University of Florida’s Division of Student Life. As a shared service department, Student Life Assessment and Research supports the assessment efforts of other Student Life departments, as well as advances the assessment and research agenda of the Division. Regular projects support the department’s six strategies: capacity building, data management, project management, reporting, research, and strategic planning.

The Data Management Analyst II has the following responsibilities: collect, evaluate, prepare and/or analyzes research and/or other complex statistical data for Student Life Assessment and Research. Prepare statistical and narrative reports and recommendations. Develop, maintain, and ensure quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems. Collaborate with departments in the Division of Student Life, and University of Florida campus partners to explore sponsored research projects, data collection methods and analysis. Participate in or initiate proposal writing and funding searches for research. Develop and utilize data collection instruments and appropriate methods for statistical analysis and evaluation, quality control of research or operational data, and create reports. Coordinate and plan research/project team meetings. Conduct educational training for Student Life staff on research protocols, regulatory guidelines, assessment tools, evaluation methods, best practices, and topics.
